Family Office Stewardship
I was recently sent a book by Dennis T. Jaffe PH.D. on family office stewardship. Our company is sent over 100 books a year from authors who are seeking a review of their book within one of our blogs. We typically only review 5-10 books a year due to time constraints but we choose to do so with this book due to its unique focus and 1-1 match with the goals of spreading family office knowledge through the Family Offices Group.
If you are working with a family office, multi-generation family business or you work closely with one of these two types of groups this book will be valuable for you to read. Here is what I found most valuable within the book:
- Creation of leading governance, institutional processes, a constitution and mission
- Preventing family feuds and challenges
- The burden and responsibility of wealth and what that means to a family enterprise
