Family Office Definition: Educational Trust

Educational Trust definition:  An educational trust is established to pay for the education of beneficiaries. Trust payments are made directly to the beneficiaries, who may decide to spend it on tuition, books, or other educational expenses.  A grantor can designate all children or grandchildren as beneficiaries to the trust.
