Family Office Definition: Endowment Fund

Endowment Fund definition:  An endowment fund is intended to be a perpetual gift with the investment earnings funding charitable spending needs, while the principal (or corpus) remains untouched and lasting for the future. Examples of endowments are funds that pay annual scholarships or operating costs for a charity.  Contributions are deductible for income, gift, and estate tax purposes.
